The Valentine Surprise!

Imagine being woken up to the smell of a wholesome breakfast consisting of toast, omelettes, fruits and coffee, coming from the kitchen. This is exactly what the female Housemates woke up to this morning.

This sweet gesture seemed like the perfect antidote after last nights’ Live Nominations, which left a left a bitter taste in most of the Housemate’s mouths, as well as it being Valentine’s Day today.

The breakfast was received with much delight from the girls, as they gave the boys hugs and kisses, while 2Face’s track titled “African Queen” played in the background. The girls wasted no time and dug in immediately, while sharing stories of how they would celebrate Valentine’s Day outside the House.

The special treat did not end with breakfast, as the girls were ushered into the lounge, and were asked to close their eyes, while the boys quickly fetched a huge bouquet of flowers and sweet treats, consisting of berries and grapes.

After hugging it out and shedding a few tears of joy, the girls were heard hinting that they might do something nice for the boys in return. The morning was wound down with a round of exercises lead by ThinTallTony.

Special Guest

The ladies in the House were treated to a lovely early morning breakfast and flowers from the guys who went to work in the kitchen to make the ladies feel special. They were in for another huge surprise as the House mates were treated to a special guest in the form of Mister Nigeria, Emmanuel Ikubese. The Housemates are overwhelmed by this surprise guest, he aid jokingly "Marvis, Big Brother says I must give you a nice massage." He gave a delighted Marvis a huge hug while the ladies fell over themselves to show him around the House.

"I think whether or not you win, it's a platform." Mister Nigeria, Emmanuel Ikubese tells the Housemates that he had tried a few times to get into Biggie's House. He chatted to them when over a bowl of Garri about wanting to do Big Brother instead of Mister Nigeria but that he never got chosen. He then decided to enter Mister Nigeria and how his career had taken off after his win, with many doors opening up to him. He explained that the platform that they are now on is amazing and he reminded them that not only Nigeria was watching but the rest of Africa too.

Emmanuel explained his journey to getting into acting which came out of his music career as a DJ. He took some questions from the Housemates and discussed what his favourite sports were and Bassey asked him how he handled sudden fame to which he dished out some sage advice, starting off with "Do not see yourself as bigger than you are." He added that they should concentrate on educating themselves so that they could have something to fall back on.

Unfortunately his time in the House was all too short and he sadly had to say his goodbyes, posing with all of the Housemates.

Housemates make some noise!

They tried out the musical instruments they’ve already started making. Loud banging and rattling of empty tins, wooden and iron rods constituted the rest of the morning in the House, as the Housemates tested the musical instruments they have already assembled together.

Yesterday, the Housemates were instructed to form three groups and make musical instruments using items such as containers, bins and pins. This formed part of their Task this week.

The banging and rattling was accompanied by singing and dancing, as some of the Housemates made up random songs, with titles such as “Gon SeeGobbe.”

We can’t wait to see and hear what they come up with during their Task Presentation this Thursday evening.

It’s been quite an eventful morning in the House, especially for the female Housemates, as they were treated to breakfast in bed and sweet treats from the male Housemates, plus a surprise visit from Mr. Nigeria Emmanuel Ikubese.

You have the power!

You, the public, will determine this week's Thursday Musical Presentation winners!

Yesterday, Biggie gave the Housemates a lot of raw materials with which to create musical instruments. The theme for this week is Make Noise and Biggie informed the Housemates today that not only would the teams have to create their own musical composition from their home-made instrumennts, but they would also have to create three Major Musicals.

Head of House, Ese read out the latest task whereby they were told that they had to perform the following:

1) Traditional Nigerian Music,

2) Modern Nigerian Hip Hop and

3) Any style of your own choice.

The theme for their musicals was "Make Money" and Housemates were told to use any instruments in the house including the ones they made for the week's Task.

What's interesting this week however, is that Big Brother has decided that YOU, the viewer, can determine the winner of Thursday's night's Presentation. You can choose your favourite Team by voting on our online Poll. Yep, that's right, Biggie is trusting you to choose who the best performers are this Thursday!

The Teams are as folows: ThinTallTony's team consists of Bally, Uriel and Ese. Bisola's team has TBoss, Efe and Bassey in it and Jon's team consists of Gifty, Marvis, Debie-rise and Kemen. Biggie expects big things from each team and they will be judged on their performance as well as their appearance. Biggie always expects that the Housemates give their all in all taks and this one is no different. Tune into the show this Thursday evening at 9pm WAT.

Love poem recitals

Biggie has decided to give the Housemates a platform to show their lyrical dexterity in writing poems.

Valentine’s day is about love and doing special things for your loved ones or a special someone, and Biggie has decided to give the Housemates a platform to show their lyrical dexterity in writing poems that they will read to their fellow Housemates and possibly a special Housemate of their choice.

But in true fashion, Biggie has included two clauses in this poem recitals, the Housemates get two different key words picked out of two different word groups, and they have just 10 minutes to create their poems.

Uriel's two words were Bad breath and Bedazzled and she recited her poem to Kemen amidst loud cheers. Kemen returned the favour by forming his poems with the words Trash and Tantalizing.

Up next was Bally, inspired by the words Lazy and Kissable, he directed his poems to Gifty; and when it was her turn, she used the words Luscious and Dumb in a poem that got him getting up to kiss her on the cheeks.

Marvis picked the words Superior and Love buds, and channeled her inner shakespeare to woo Efe. the warri boy had picked the words Ravishing and Talkative, and he used them in a pidgin english poem that got the house roaring with laughter.

ThinTallTony had picked the words Fantasy and Annoying; and with some flair delivered his poem to Bisola; who returned the favour by wooing him using the words Heartless and In love.

TBoss had picked the words Passionate and Snoring and she overlooked all the Housemates and directed her poem to Evicted Housemate Miyonse. Jon's turn came and he decided to woo TBoss with his Faust-like delivery of his poem inspired by the words Stinking and Flower.

Debie-Rise had chosen the words Desire and envious and she looked Bassey straigh in the eye as she recited her poems to him. Bassey called on all his flair as he dazzled debie-Rise and everyone in the House with his emotion laden poem using the words Stingy and Attractive.

HoH Ese decided to recite her poem to all the guys in the House and she employed the words Breathtaking and Rhythmless.
